SWE Report Format

1. FRONT PAGE
The front cover of the report, will consists of title, student identification number, student name, date of placement, etc.

2. INTRODUCTION
Include aims, placement data, supervisors’ data, divisions, departments, sections and their functions.

3. BRIEF ACCOUNT OF THE ACTIVITIES UNDERTAKEN
Student gives brief of any inductions programme, outline of any formal/informal training, and also gives summary of each main task, which he/she performed.

4. WORK SCHEDULES
The proposed and actual work schedule should be in the form of a bar chart, preferably a Gantt chart.

5. SKILLS DEVELOP DURING PLACEMENT
Student describes the skills that he/she developed during the placement and how those skills were developed.

6. DIAGRAMS
Student may use diagrammatic representation to illustrate their discussions.

7. GENERAL DISCUSSION
Student can gives notes on any matter related to the SWE work, for example exposure on using the software and/or hardware.

8. CONCLUSION
Student state whether the aims were achieved or not. If yes, how were the aims achieved, else give reasons why.

9. APPENDICES/ SUPPORTING INFORMATION
Student may include any attachments, which are not appropriates for inclusions in the main parts of the report or any supporting information of the main part.

10. REPORT SUBMISSION
a. Placement report and questionnaire should be handed-in as softcopy if possible.

b. The completed report should be submitted to the ITB supervisors on the date specified.
